Adexen Recruitment Agency is mandated by a new start-up Data Centre company in Nigeria to recruit a Financial Accountant.

Our Client is a new start-up Data Centre company in Nigeria. The company offer an integrated solution centre to provide Co-location data hosting services to telecommunication companies, banks, internet service providers and other companies within Nigeria.

Responsibilities

The aim of this role is to run the accounting function of the company, using the Orion accounting software.
To deliver excellence in financial control in accounting and finance including payroll.
To maintain a sound knowledge of the accounting, finance, legal and regulatory issues of the various jurisdictions involved with our businesses.
To ensure adherence to company’s finance and accounting policies and procedures in line with group guidelines in this regard.
To adopt the highest standards of ethics and integrity and abide by the group’s code of business conduct and anti-bribery policy.
To maintain the highest standards of confidentiality
To run a smooth and efficient financial accounting system, Orion. Including payroll.
Ensure compliance with statutory authority and audit requirements.Maintain integrity of accounting system (software), ensuring it remains effective and operational at all times.
Ensure all tax, legal and regulatory requirements are complied with at all times.
On a monthly basis conduct balance sheet reconciliations/analysis for review by the company's Finance Manager.
Update “chart of accounts” when necessary to reflect account management activities.

Requirements

At least 3 years financial experience in a sophisticated and reputable company.
HND/BSc in Accounting (ACA, CA, CPA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent qualification – added advantage)
Excellent technical and communication skills.
Highly discrete and able to uphold the utmost confidentiality
Self-confident and very proactive.
Prepared to be hands-on to achieve results and maintain deadlines.
Resilient and able to contribute to the effective growth of a dynamic industry leading business
Experience preferably within the Telecommunications and/or IT Managed Services environment
Experienced in trade finance, in particular letters of credit
Culturally aware and sensitive
