Job Description
A new transport company need a well qualified and enthusiastic professionals to work as part of our team in a brand new international transportation company which has recently opened an office in Nigeria and intends to have a wide regional outreach. The company will be operating offices all over the country therefore all applications are welcomed from applicants residing in this region.

Job Purpose
Maintain the day-to-day accounting services in order to support day-to-day operations and efficient running of the organization in line with overall Company business strategy.

Responsibilities:
Ensure all necessary balance sheets are reconciled and reviewed on a monthly basis
Ensure all necessary analysis and information is provided in monthly management report for areas assigned
Identify new process improvements
Maintain Fixed Assets Register and Work In Progress Balance
Analyse depreciation
Ensure all mandatory and statutory government taxes are paid in a timely fashion
Prepare invoices, reports, memos, letters, financial statements and other documents, using word processing, spreadsheet, database, or presentation software
Assemble, compile, and analyze data, and resolve errors/inconsistencies in data from source systems
Advise management by assembling, interpreting and summarizing data, preparing reports, creating presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations
Accessing /pulling Customer data from multiple internal and external sources using different query/programming/applications/languages.
Create controls, audits and validations to ensure compliance with existing and new processes.
Support various special projects, ad hoc analysis and reporting initiatives
Producing different ad-hoc reports summarizing credit and loss performance
Balance sheet reconciliation will be necessary to ensure the integrity of the accounts
Monthly overhead accounting

Qualifications Requirements:
Must have at least a Basic 4 year degree in Accounting.
2 years of accounting experience preferably in the financial/audit industry
Standard software packages: MS Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint), Quickbooks, PeachTree, Simple Accounting including ability to use email applications.
Operating Systems: Windows
Strong technical skills, solid understanding for systems.
Excellent communication skills; able to translate date into simple business presentations
Able to handle multiple priorities
Must have good interpersonal skills
