I believe the amount you are willing to pay to get trained depends on the depth and duration of the training. So first things:

(1) How long do you think you'll need for the training? Two weeks? One month? Maybe more?
(2) "Standard application" in Java is vague. Are you looking at desktop apps (Java Standard Edition), mobile apps (Java Micro Edition) or enterprise Java apps (Java Enterprise Edition)?
(3) In your response please include a reasonable range of how much you are willing to commit to this so I can know if this will be worth the effort.
