Business Process Outsourcing career

Business Process Outsourcing started in India where companies like dell outsourced their call centres and so with other companies, and the the proliferation of call centres and then otsourcing of other I.T related business processes. BPO is new in Nigeria.

I would like to know how lucrative is a BPO career, I am thinking of starting a career in BPO. I would like people that have an idea and how prospective it is to comment. I know it has to do with call centres and customer relations. I know it goes beyond that too but would like your contributions. would like to know how futuristic it is and if it worth a career going into.
