Ventures Africa has both Online and Offline presence and is rapidly becoming the number one business/financial news reporting outlet for most Africans and the diaspora.


We are currently hiring business/features writers skilled in the art of business writing/journalism.







Job Description


Collecting, analysing and reporting facts (by interview, observation or investigation) about newsworthy events in the financial/business world, with strong focus on events as they play out in Africa's emerging markets. With focus on mergers and acquisitions in Africa, stock market trends, investments, start-ups and business initiatives of top African entreprenuers.


Applicants should also possess the necessary skills set for interview, investigation, observation, reporting and writing stories for the publication.




Job/Person Specification


? BSC/HND Mass communication or any equivalent field.


? 1-3 years work experience.


? High Network/Contact


? Good writing skills.


? Good command of English.


? Ability to motivate people and work in a team.


? Ability to work without supervision.


? Good interviewing skills.


? Must be a good proof reader/editor.


? Ability to work under pressure.


? Familiarity with business reporting styles of Bloomberg, Forbes and Reuters
