JOB SEEKERS CAN YOU ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS?

1. CV
2. Aptitude test
3. Interview

Which one is the most important of all these three? and give your reasons.

CV: it grant you the opportunity of an Aptitude test and Interview,as the CV is only looked at for maximum of 15seconds and then it will be approved for either aptitude test or interview. In the case were the CV didn't meet the employer's criteria, they just throw it to the bin and go to the need CV that might be more attractive.

CV: cos its your first point of contact with your potential employer or the hr. If you fail at this point, you have eqaully failed all round. Your cv represnts you, so you must brand yourself well.

i agree with professorfinger, Cv first. if ur cv isnt worth it you simply don't worth being called for either interview or aptitude test.ur cv shows ur apt and att at the least so employer think.put ur self in their shoes and u will know why they do what they do and demand what they demand.God will help us. Well professor finger i think i ill like to meet  u. ur pix create a reminiscience.

FIRST IMPRESSION MATTERS A LOT. I THINK THE CV IS THE 1ST IMPRESSION ONE CAN MAKE AND IT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT SINCE ITS THE 1ST MARKETING MEDIUM OF ONE'S PERSONALITY.

This question is self explanatory, they are all very improtant and they differ.
I belive your Cv is the fisrt which is your first opportunity of meeting the employer which in turn gives you d chance of coming for Aptitude test ie if the employer is satisfied with your Cv, and the final stage is interview if and only if you pass the aptitude test.
Best of luck all. Kiss Roll Eyes

I think it's the interview, I think so because if an employer needs someone to fill a post urgently, like 24 hrs, all they need is for people around to recommend a qualified candidate and the Interview determines whether you get the job or not, no matter how your cv is tight or how very brilliant you perform in an aptitude test, the Interview is ur selling point. You can get a job without ur cv or a test if you are interviewed but you can never get a job with just a cv and a aptitude test, u still have to go thru the interview as d final decision point.

No argument about this: Interview is the best. Agreed that the other two will lead to interview but it gives the real you out for the job you are seeking for.

Interview is the most important because its the peak stage in the employment/recruitment  process. Any mistake done at that stage could be disastrous. At the interview stage its almost like as if the person has already gotten the job. Its a critical and very delicate stage, that whats makes it the most important.

as for me,interview is the most important cos it gives u the chance to explain ur cv and other things that ur employer might need to know about u and once u r called for an interview, it gives u a stronger hope of getting the job after writng a test

I think interview offers you the best medium to defend your claims in your Cv. It might not be easy, but I think that it is the best.

if you dont pass the test, you dont get an interview. also you may get a call for the test just cause yoiu got a 2-1 but if you mess up the test, then your father beter be the MD or else, you are basically screwed.

everybody has really spoken.but the simple fact is that if ur CV is less important,it means just any qualified candidate is expected at d test venue.but is it everybody dat submits CV is called 4 test? if ur answer is NO then the contents of ur CV ( ranging from:address, year of graduation, grade obtained, work experiences etc.)speak lots about u & determin weather u need to be tested as ur TEST result determins if u need to be interveiwed.kindly package ur CV well.it is very  important just as it represents u in absence.good luck.

See my country people.I think that the interview is the most important of all because, sometimes you dont evensubmit a CV and somehow somehow you are called for interview. At the moment I have a friend who is attending an interview(UAC and subsequently Guiness) without a CV.You sell yourself at the interview. This notwithstanding you the three are very relevant.[/shadow]

Guys, i think the 3 are very important depending on the way u veiw it.
Let me start with the C V.
Your C V gives you the opportunity to know u an access of introduction for the job cos it's only from the cv that you might be shortlisted for either the apptitude test or the interview depending on the employment process.
Note :we need to make our CV very interesting and more attractive.
Secondly, apptitude test is another strategy of control measure in which the employer use in selecting the best and more qualifed candidate without expriences for the particular post.remember without you been shortlisted you from your CV,you might not be invited for the an apptitude test
However, the interview part is the most important aspect of this issue, there so many quality the employer is expecting from you, like u good command of english, the spirit of team player, your outfit and most of all, the content of your C V like your job description and responsibilty, those thing that believe your can do.
This is the state in which you will need to prove quality.
Finally,i think the C V, Apptitude test and the interview work or move hand in hand with the employment process.
Thanks
Best of luck

My own view is different; all the three are important coz first you present your CV which will determine if you will be contacted or not depending on the details in it and what the establishment wants from an employee.
Once the CV is Ok, comes the test to reaffirm your qualifications and to know how analytical you can be and once you are successful depending on their pass mark, you go to the next stage.
Once you are successful in the test, you will be called for an interveiw to know detailed things about you and as you put it in your CV and other things.
They are all interwoven coz without CV there is no test and therefore no interveiw but if compelled to choose one, its definately the CV coz U will use it all through the recruitment process and its the most valued document of all.

why do we border ourselves, ur cv is the starting point. Even if ur father is the ceo he will only start to bring u in with ur cv to the board or HR. then u will be invited for TEST OR INTERVIEW.
Don't be carried away with ur Godfather becos if ur cv is not sounding well he will not accept it from u in the first place becos he will not like to be embarass with it.
ur cv represent n speak of u in ur absent, which is the starting point to ur carrier. All of them are important but first thing first, wchich will lead u to other's

all of the above.the reason why i said these is that when u sees some c.v u will know who he/she is ,it is through the c.v u will set ur aptitude test and after the test u can call the person for interview.as for me the three are important thank u.

Dear Naija Graduates,
Let me start by saying that u've all spoken well, like the words of our elders say it is only a child that wants to learn that contributes when he hears something he feels he knows, so for those who deem it fit to respond i say kudos.
As for which is more important amongst the three, i'd say none is more important than the other, my reason is simply they all add up to the complete circle of the recruitment process, so if u're deficient in a particular area be rest assured that u'll never get there; while the cv showcases who you are and what u feel u can offer, the test insures u have the necessary analytical and intellectual ability to make it happen, while the interview is an opportunity for recruiters to have a first hand impression of what you've demonstrated in ur cv and in the ability test.
So it's like asking which is more important? the egg, the incubation period or the chicken and like every full blooded african will know none is more important cos with the others you really never get to eat the christmas chicken.

Best Regards,
