The Accounting/Administration Officer is responsible for maintaining day to day financial, accounting, administrative and personnel services in order to meet the company requirements.
Requirement
- A degree in any of the discipline of social science or humanity.
- Must have completed NYSC.
- Must have 5 years working experience in a similar capacity, preferably an IT firm.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft office suite application.
- Possess good interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
- Must be willing to travel given short notice.
- Relevant professional qualification will be an added advantage.
Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will
- Manage the filing, storage and security of documents
- Respond to inquiries
- Manage the repair and maintenance of computer and office equipment
- Issue permits and licenses
- Supervise all operations of the company
- Supervise customer services and responds to customer inquiry
- Assist with preparation and advertising of contract documents
- Administer staffs and contracts
Other duties include:
- Keep/Maintain an updated record of all the company’s accounting/financial records.
- Payroll Administration.
- Personnel records.
- Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system
- Prepare income statement
- Assist with preparation of the budget
- Implement financial policies and procedures
- Establish and maintain cash controls
- Establish, maintain and reconcile the general ledger
- Monitor cash reserves and investments
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements
- Establish and maintain supplier accounts
- Processes supplier invoices
- Maintain the purchase order system
- Ensure data is entered into the system
- Issue cheques for all accounts due
