Job Objective(s)

To be of a team that will design, create & manage world-class software product life cycle from initiation to project launch. On launching you shall also be responsible for product support & maintenance in cooperation with the technical and marketing teams. Your responsibility includes managing the company software development teams, creating standards and policies to ensure our products are fit for use, products tested to meet world & regulatory standards and capture all approved customers’ requirements including security of both tangible and intangible assets in your department.

Responsibilities.

Software Products Development.

 Responsible for design, development, testing and maintenance of all web and ERP productivity related software projects as assigned by the company.
 Provide technical input to new product designs in collaboration with product development teams.
 Collect requirements, define product scope and produce product design after analysis of stakeholder’s requirements.
 Build, test and train teams.
 Responsible for creating help documentation for all projects.

Project Management and Leadership.

 Manage project team effectively and develop programs to ensure we have a motivated and high performing team.
 Ensure software projects lifecycle are managed effectively within SLAs.
 Develop strategies to improve quality and time of delivery of client’s solutions.
 Ensure that database assets are accurate in coordination with the technical team.
 Protect company’s intellectual and intangible assets.
 Provide support and input to any other project assigned by the company.

Technology Evolution and Security.

 Keep trends of the update in the software technologies we use in production to ensure security of users and business continuity.
 Audit users to ensure fraudulent users are identified and mitigated.
 Recommend innovative technologies and solutions to better satisfy our customers.



Status Reporting.
 Prepares daily / weekly/ periodic reports and presentation of activities concerning threats and security risks, technical blocking issues in products.

Market Strategy Definition
 Support the marketing unit and brand managers in product development and enhancements.
 Research local and foreign competitor’s offerings regularly and recommend how we can learn from them improving our product quality, cost effectiveness, appeal and effectively market share.
 Be customer focus in all technical opinion and product life cycle development.

Qualifications & Experience.

 Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or other relevant discipline. Second class upper degree is an advantage.
 In depth Knowledge of XHTML, XML, CSS, SOAP, JavaScript, DHTML. Photoshop 7 and above CS3 (Mainly Dreamweaver and Flash), Secure webforms and SEO. Knowledge of Ajax, Net, C-sharp, JQuery, php, MWBP, WCAG, MS Visual Studio 2008, Web 2.0, IIS, SourceSafe, and Silver light. Profile Manager (.NET 3.5), LINQ, Knowledge of MS SQL 2005 or above, PL SQL.
 Graphic experience with Photoshop or Illustrator or Image Ready and Flash or Swish.
 Mobile application development experience on Android and Blackberry platforms is an advantage.
 Knowledge and experience with content management systems.
 1-3yrs relevant project experience in commercial software projects development.
 Minimum of 1 year Web 2.0
 Minimum of 1 year Project Management experience
 Ability to work effectively in a team.
 Work effectively to deadlines; even under pressure
 Excellent communication and listening skills
 Ability to learn very fast and follow dynamics of the IT technologies.
 Ability to transform requirement into a valuable software solution for clients.
