Duties and Responsibilities of a Database Developer
• The ideal candidate is responsible for the information capital of the company.
• The candidate must place the data in an accessible, manageable database and ensure that the database's platform runs optimally.
• The candidate must create and implement security measures to protect the database from external threats and sometimes maintain information privileges internally.
• The candidate will develop and maintain the software library and documentation regarding the department's best practices.
• The candidate will develop and implement department-wide standards regarding source-code control.
• Maintain the department's Perforce repository and assist developers in the use of this tool.
• Assist Supervising Programmer with software development and maintenance as well as troubleshoot technical problems (debugging and testing) and research solutions.
Basic Requirement
• Bachelor's degree (B.A. /B.S.), HND From any university or Polytechnic in Computer Science or related field.
• Must have Minimum of 5 years NYSC
• Must possess Minimum of 5 years experience with Microsoft Access, MS SQL Server and Oracle database.
• Experience with one or more business systems process environments.
