SUMMARY

An International Operations leadership position responsible for providing strategic leadership, technical and functional expertise, and enterprise support necessary for successful execution of Field Operations function in Canada, Europe and other countries. The role has accountability for developing and maintaining close and effective partnerships with country business leaders to gain a thorough understanding of the business and business strategy in order to translate the business strategy into operational capabilities. The incumbent is also responsible for partnering with Business Insurance and Bond & Specialty Insurance Operations in designing, leveraging and implementing cost effective and efficient operating models for Field Operations function

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS): May include all or the majority but not limited to these components.

Work collaboratively with country Operations leadership teams to build necessary operational capabilities within countries, leveraging best practices and operational disciplines of enterprise partner organizations
Partner with Travelers International on Operations assessments, due diligence analyses, organizational/integration planning, and execution of key initiatives
Drive strategic projects and oversee critical country operational execution initiatives
Coach, mentor, and provide developmental support to country Operations leaders
Conduct on-sight assessment and review of country operations and recommend adjustments as necessary
Ensure country strategies, roadmaps, and tactical plans are aligned to enterprise business objectives
Serve as the primary liaison between country Operations leaders and Travelers Enterprise Operations, participating in appropriate planning and strategy discussions
Integrate country operations into existing International Operations management information systems and programs for quality control and training
Ensure consistency with application and measurements of all key operational programs
Ensure robust workforce planning strategy and practice in country Operations, including long term forecasting and planning
Assist in developing monitoring and execution activities of Operations' compliance and regulatory requirements. Ensure proper procedures and guidelines are in place to meet requirements for business
Work with local Operations Management to develop a culture that is team oriented and customer service focused
Work with local Operations management to develop and implement operational and policy service strategies, policies, workflow processes and standards.
