Job Profile
Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, this person will have the primary responsibility of collecting, collating and documening existing materials electronically in an easy retrievable manner and will arrange and describ these selected records in order to allow effecient and effective access and retrieval. He/She will work with the Information Technology departments to preserve records and apply basic conservatio techniques to those which are possible deteriorating or damaged. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for the comprehensive numbering and sub-numbering of documents, the supervision of research archiving using documents and security microfilm; ensure prper storage and retrieval of information, suveillance and physical security of data, and video analytics processing. Finally, he/she will assist in the management of SHF website and will provide advice to management on archiving and documentation as required.

Qualifications/Experience:
Minimum Academic/Professional Qualifications required for the position:
  • Must possess a first degree in Library Science/Management Information Systems or Demography.
  • A Masters degree in Information Systems or Library Science will be added advantage.
  • Must possess a minimum of five (5) years post NYSC experience in electronic archiving systems.
  • Must have proven experience and strong skills in data management and administration.
  • Experience in planning and facilitation of training for different cadres of staff in archiving will be of added advantage
  • Must have good oral, analytical, interpretive and written comprehension skills, strong capacity building skills and willingness to train.
  • Must have hands-on awareness of the required scope of the needed work environment and the attendant equipment necessary for the job.
