A prototype is a is a draft version of a product that allows you to explore your ideas and show the intention behind a design feature, or the overall design concept, to users before investing time and money into development. Using 3D printing technology, prototype models of objects created in a CAD software such as AutoCAD, Solidworks or Rhino3D can be transformed into physical objects.

WHAT WE DO
We take your design ideas (in form of simple sketches, detailed drawings, or a direct description) and first of all create a digital model using Rhinoceros Modelling Tools for Designers (Rhino3D). The digital model is then converted to a stereolithographic (.stl) file which is sent to a 3D printing machine to produce your prototype. Your 3D model can also be subjected to a number of detailed analysis such as Curvature Analysis, Area and Volume Centroids and Moments, Hydrostatics, and Geodesic Analysis (Shortest path).

Alzcorp Limited, in technical collaboration withStampar3d, offers training and consulting services in Product Design and Prototyping. We work with and train both individual and corporate organizations on how to build professional designs and prototypes using Rhino3D (the world’s most versatile 3D modelling software). We also train on how to use a 3D printer to convert your digital models into physical objects (prototypes).

Next Training Session: 3rd October 2016

Training Duration: 5 Days (Monday – Friday); 10am – 3pm (30mins break with lunch provided)

Training Venue: Magodo GRA, Phase 2 Shangisha, Lagos State.

Training Fee: 60,000 NGN per participant (Discounts available for early registration)

Training Objectives:

1. Utilize the features of the Rhino3D user interface.
2. Customize your modelling environment.
3. Model with precision using coordinate input, object snap, and SmartTrack.
4. Visualize, evaluate, and analyse models utilizing shading features.
5. Create 3D models from 2D drawings and scanned images.
6. Understand the fundamentals of additive manufacturing and 3D Printing.
7. Learn to operate a 3D printing machine.

*Certificates of Achievement will be issued to participants at the end of the training as evidence of the skills and knowledge acquired.
