    PETROLEUM PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGIST

It is the responsibility of the Production Engineer to produce wells optimally. This is achieved by identifying and removing constraints in the production system.
Some of the major functions of a production engineer include:

    1. Design of oil wells and production facilities.
    2. Selection of operating conditions of production facilities.
    3. Optimal production of oil and gas wells.
    4. Production and well surveillance to identify constraints and implement remedial treatments to enhance production.

In production optimization, our goal is to maximize ultimate recovery at minimum OPEX. To achieve this, pressure losses are minimized between the well bore and the separator.
Nodal analysis is the solution technique used to optimize the objective flow rate in order to produce well, identify flow constraints and design remedial solutions.
This Training is designed to enable production engineers gain proficiency in the use of Nodal Analysis software in a wide scenario of applications from design of a well system to optimization of production system through sensitivity study of the effect of components of the production system.
