The NYSC has failed to meet its target looking back at the philosophy on NYSC.
Graduate are sent to a land where they will be enslaved by their employees.
imagin a female corp member been posted to a man's house as a personal cook. she reported the matter but nothing happen she left everything in the hand of God.
a female corper was posted to a school where she handles 6 subjects with an allowance of 2k. she pay 3k5 per month on accommodation.
a corp member was posted to a firm without sign post.
employers treaten to report corp members just bcos they want them to do dirty jobs for them.
corp members act as prostitute in disguish as marketers.
the issue of tribalism , religious violence e.t.c. are in the increase

increase orientation camp to 2 months

pay corp members their neccessary allowance

stop primary assignment
\
give them discharge certificate
\
let them go home and search for jobs

what has bin successfully implemented in Nigeria? I'm not surprised.
i pray God help us.its not a sight to behold when u consider d dirty jobs some of d corp members do.However,i have been posted to Oyo state,anybody,what do i xpect?

What a hell! My dear do you have evidence of some of these issues you raised here? Are you still serving?
you are just so right. you can imagine serving in the north were communication is almost impossible. were people are subjected to poverty and illiteracy so that governing them will be easy. were people are made to understand that English language is a taboo. that its okay not to be enlightened as long as you can get married.
what a pity. but my problem is not the people, but how can we scrap this program. some business icons in this country would rather die than to scrap it. In fact is time the youths have a place in the house.

The orientation camp should be extended 2some manageable months in which graduate can come 2geda share ideas, coach demselves or b coached and tutored on entrepreneurial skills and opportunities out there. Something like "The Apprentice" could be modified 2make graduates create opportunities where ever they are postd to. After dat, U shld be given ur Discharge Certificate and u go home. If u want to stay in d town to do something, its up to.
