alot of these positions been advertised are for experienced individuals. are there opportunities to develop expertise before joining some of these presitigeous oil and gas companies?Yes!!!

i have taken it upon myself to join relevant bodies, one of them been SPE. I have also invested in technical books. i have created time to go for conferences that broaden my horizon and also present the opportunity to interact with professionals and get tips.

To this end, i will like to encourage members of the house to share technical information and relevant material that can develop our competence. Lets keep ourselves posted of events that can enhance our understanding of this vast industry. It shouldnt stop at posting jobs. we can even arrange to have a forum, were we come together and share ideas. who knows what will come out of that.

hi guys, im happy that we are embracing career development. its the name of the game i tell u. we tink we are fresh in the industry but i tell you we can still carve a niche. i went through a training recently and i learnt something new, it changed my perspective to information sharing. My trainer said, ' we should not be competing with our colleagues in the office, we should compete with our international counterparts. there is enough space for all of us in the industry. share information and develop one another'
