    SALES EXECUTIVE- EXPORT DIRECT SALES

    INTRODUCTION TO MAERSK NIGERIA
    Maersk Nigeria continues to grow aggressively and has in the last 6 years doubled its business, and expanded both its office and liner service network to encompass all maritime/commercial centers in Nigeria. Nigeria is also acting as focus for the NBT Cluster Structure, encompassing Benin, Togo and Niger, and thus assuming a coordinating role in creating functional centers of excellence within this geographical scope. The host country, Nigeria, is the second largest Import Country in Sub Saharan Africa Area in terms of Container Business and strong trade ties to the surrounding countries, Nigeria is a developing economy poised for double digit growth in Trade and economical activity related hereto.

    The Position: SALES EXECUTIVE – EXPORT DIRECT SALES

    Our Vision & Mission requires that our organization is focused towards our Clients and the Products we deliver to them. The Sales Executive would be overall responsible for monitoring and executing the sales plan, strategizing, communicating and directing the sales efforts as well as meeting and exceeding the business targets outlines in the key performance indicators.

    REFERENCE
    Reporting to the Sales Manager West Region, the Export Direct Sales executive will be overall responsible for
    • Identifying and winning potential direct and Area key clients within your sales coverage
    • Identifying and developing logistics potentials in conjunction with the Maersk Logistics and CB Center Key Client management.
    • Recommending product development initiatives driven by knowledge of client needs to Line and Logistics management as appropriate.
    • Providing input to the sales plan of your account group and execute the market plan set for the Sales Organization
    • Driving the annual, quarterly and monthly marketing plan input from your team and ensuring data quality.
    • Analyzing market and competition information and making recommendations to management on the best set- up to ensure Maersk stays competitive in the market.
    • Collaborating with other team leaders in the same sales office (but not limited to) ensure best practices are shared and trade/industry knowledge are shared.
    • Establishing and monitoring the execution of E-commerce strategy to promote E-solution to the direct sales clients.
    • Building knowledge and skills in the team to deliver the LCL and VAS volume and revenue targets.
    • Coordinating sales management system implementation, daily update and data quality.
    • Coordinating to ensure timely and accurate input of space/equipment forecasting for direct sales clients.
    • Managing and organizing sales activities and resources within your team according to client needs and optimize resource utilization.
    • Systematic and constructive feedback to the product owners based on the findings in the market and from the customers to improve the services of Maersk.
    • Owning and executing individual sales competency development plans developed with your immediate supervisor as per the findings from the potential analysis aimed to improve sales competency.

    • Willingness to provide a service to others.
    • Dynamism and ability to work with minimal supervision.
