The local content policy of the federal government was designed to empower Nigerians in the management of their affairs in the absence of expatriates. This INFORMED THE PURPOSE FOR THE training of Nigerian graduates and students in the use of sophisticated software like PDMS and HYSYS, FLARENET & PIPENET for engineering designs.
Aspen HYSYS is the most popular and industry driven software used for process design, especially designs related to the oil and gas industry. In fact process engineering equals Aspen HYSYS, while PDMS handles graphical and catalogue based plant design from conception to decommissioning.
HYSYS handles process modeling from the oil/gas well, to the NGL plant or to the refinery and distribution. HYSYS also handle different types of chemical reaction, Presently it is being used by SHELL, CHEVRON, NNPC, EXXON-MOBIL AND many oil servicing companies. Here in Port Harcourt a training centre is now open to offer training in the use of these softwares to let interested individuals or group upgrade their information database and equip their selves for the oil and gas career. The instructors are experienced and technically based engineers. This training contains latest PTDF training format and materials.
Training is open to graduates and students of; chemical, mechanical, petroleum, civil, gas, materials and metallurgical, environmental engineering as well as geology industrial physics and chemistry and those interested in the oil and gas industry. Our major goal is to transfer technology.

ASPEN FLARENET SOFTWARE TRAINING

Aspen Flare System Analyzer (Aspen Flarenet) enables engineers to perform steady-state design, rating, or debottlenecking of single or multiple flare and vent system. The program can calculate minimum size for a new flare system or evaluate alternatives to remove bottlenecks in an existing network.

Course Content
1 Module 1 – Designing of Flare System
This workshop explores the fundamental principles involved in using Aspen Flarenet to design and rate a new flare system. Once designed, the network is optimized and then debottlenecked following the addition of a new relief source into the system. This ‘guided tour’ will expose the trainee to most of the major feature of Aspen Flarenet.
2 Module 2 – Modifying an Existing Design
This module deals with how to tie-in a plant into an existing flares system.
3 Module 3 – Using the Export/Import Wizard
Here the user deals on Export and Import data using Export/Import Wizard

Pipenet is a powerful software tool for rapid flow analysis of pipe networks. It has over 2000 users worldwide and has been in use for over 28 years.
