PRINCIPAL INSTRUCTORS
The two top Instructors, O.C. Onwuka and Martin Onovo have a combined experience in excess of 40 Years in the Oil and Gas Industry. Several of those years involved Subsurface and Surface engineering, Facilities Design, Project Engineering, Project Management, Risk Assessment, Construction and Operations in Offshore and Onshore fields. They will be assisted by other experienced instructors.

O.C.Onwuka
Mr. Onwuka holds a First Class Honours Degree in Mechanical Engineering and graduated as best all-round-student from the University of Lagos in 1989 with nine awards. His working career started with SPDC (Shell) as a Petroleum Engineer, then Schlumberger, NNPC/NETCO (Facilities/Process Engineer) and Mobil Producing Nigeria. He retired voluntarily after 12 years of service to focus on contributing his quota to National Development through creative solutions to corporate, business and community challenges. He is a founding member of the board of EPCM Engineers Limited.

Mr. Onwuka has trained thousands of professionals in over 20 years of practice in the fields of Facilities/Process Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Management and Project Management. His experience covers Well Completions, Workovers, Seismic Exploration, Drilling, Surface Production facilities including Wellhead and Production Platforms, Compressor Platforms, Turbines, Gas Processing Plants, FPSOs, offshore Quarters platforms, marine and onshore pipelines, crude treating systems etc. He has won several top management awards for performance including the MPN Top Management Performance Award in 1999 for his efforts in designing and constructing the First Air-Assisted Smokeless Flare in 1998 under stringent and tight project schedule and budget. He also won the MPN QIT Top Engineers award for two of the three years he spent as a Facilities Engineer in Qua Iboe Terminal (QIT) of MPN and has presented a paper at the International Society of Petroleum Engineers SPE in San Antonio, USA.

Martin O. Onovo
Martin Onovo has a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Ibadan and University of Houston, Houston Texas, respectively. He has over 18 Years experience in the Oil & Gas industry. His working career in Mobil Producing Nigeria included expensive exposure to Design and Operations of the company’s NGL facilities in Bonny River Terminal. His awards include
• Commendation for Academic Performance, 1984, University of Houston, Texas.
• Sub-Dean’s Leadership Award, Faculty of Technology, University of Ibadan, 1991,
• Shell/SPE Merit Scholarship for Excellence in Drilling Engineering, 1989 and
• The World Medal of Freedom, Nomination by American Biographical Institute.
Mr. Onovo is currently the Chairman of FORTRAIN BREN INVESTMENTS LTD.
