The foundation level of BCS Professional Examination is the equivalent to year 1 of a UK university Honors degree and is recognized by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 4.

The certificate in IT focuses on the following Core modules:

Information System
Software Development
Computer & Network Technology

BCS recommends a minimum of 200 hours study per module and the course culminates in 2 hour written Examinations

Completion of the certificate in IT Level means you are eligible to aplly fo BCS Associate Membership (AMBCS)

Examination sittings are held twice a year in October and April. This Applies to all modules, unless otherwise stated.
