Sundry Foods Limited has the following vacancy in its corporate headquarters:

Position: Head, Human Resources and Administration
Location: Port Harcourt

The Head of Human Resources and Admin will head the HR Team in its corporate headquarters. The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensure the company is properly staffed considering the core variables of cost, timing and skill set to enable it meet its organizational goals and objectives
  • Lead the HR team in delivering Human Resources service for the company to defined service standards, timescales and budgets.
  • Develop and implement successful Human Resources strategies that support the long term growth and transformation of the organization.
  • Driving forward the implementation of Human Resources policies and strategies at Sundry Foods; including staff training & development, Performance Management, compensation and benefits management, leading on manpower planning and managing pensions and other statutory regulations.

  • Drive change management that support the business through reviewing and re-engineering HR processes and tools.
  • Monitor market trends within the scope of business and the area of human resources management, and adapt appropriate ideas into human resources strategies and programs within the unit.
  • Oversee and implement the company’s performance management system as a tool for assessing resource, needs and potentials towards effective human capital management
  • Managing the company’s compensation system to include payroll management and market analysis
  • Overseeing the organisation’s central office administrative function
Education, Qualification and Skills:

We are looking to recruit an experienced professional to lead our Human Resources team, so evidence of strong leadership, Human Resources knowledge and team-working in a fast-paced environment are pre-requisites to be a success in this role.

§ Bachelors Degree or equivalent in any management related discipline but with specific preference for degrees in HR and/or Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Sociology or related course- Required (Minimum of second class honours degree required)
§ MBA or Masters in Human Resources Management – Preferred
§ HR Professional body membership: CIPMN, CIPD, etc - Essential
§ At least five (5) years post-NYSC work experience in HR position.
§ Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
§ Strong Interpersonal and networking skills
§ Excellent organisational skills are also essential, including the ability to manage several tasks simultaneously
§ Advanced Microsoft office skills: Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint required
