PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


* Assists the Clinical Practice Coordinator and oversee all customer service patient care initiatives for all sites within the unit.
* Assists both the Clinical Practice Coordinator and Director of Practice Operations with annual operational planning.
* Recruits, orients, performance manages, and evaluates the performance of Nursing staff.
* Identifies and resolves complex service/operational problems and issues for patients and staff.
* Recommends and implements policies and procedures and provides staff education that ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
* Manages and presents all patient satisfaction & DocuTap reports for the medical unit.
* Responsible for the clinical education and customer service training of all medical assistance throughout the clinic.
* Assists the medical team in leveraging information from EMR to manage compliance on Meaningful Use and other governmental reporting initiatives or mandates.
* Extracts data and analyzes information from EMR and other sources to identify opportunities to improve operations and reduce cost within the clinic.
* Works on multi-disciplinary project teams within the health system that support or represent us at a system wide level.
* Collaborates with the medical team to assure that quality improvement initiatives for daily operations, workflow, and productivity are evaluated, monitored and improved for the unit.
* Performs assigned work safely, adhering to established departmental safety rules and practices. Reports to Clinical Practice Coordinator, in a timely manner, any unsafe activities, conditions, hazards, or safety violations that may cause injury to oneself, other employees, patients and visitors.
* Performs other related duties as required.


QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
* Bachelor’s Degree in nursing
* license or eligibility for licensure in the state
* Experience supervising staff and managing practice operations preferred
* Demonstrated experience working with physicians & staff to improve patient care, and coordinate quality initiatives
