International Medical Careers - Nurses

Remote Site Clinic Nurse
Based on our client’s remote oil, gas or mining operational site, the Remote Site Clinic Nurse provides primary and emergency health care services to the client’s onsite workforce and oversees all aspects of clinical medical management including medical evacuation support.
The key locations for opportunities include:
Africa - Angola, The Democratic Republic of the Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia
Clinic Manager
The Clinic Manger is responsible for the implementation and management of the medical and business standards of the clinic to ensure each International SOS member utilizing the clinic receives the highest level of service and care. This includes introducing new services, growing the patient base, planning and deploying essential resources.
The key locations for Clinic Manager opportunities are:
Asia – China, Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia
Australasia – Papua New Guinea
Employment Types for International Positions
Locum Positions: Locum assignments range from 3-8 weeks dependant of staffing movements on site.
Permanent Rotational Positions: Rotations range from 4 -12 weeks paid onsite and 4 -12 weeks paid offsite dependant of clinic requirements.
Permanent Residential Positions: Permanent relocation to the required city of assignment.
We coordinate the flights and travel to and from site for each rotation/locum pattern and provide onsite accommodation and facilitates.

The Position
Our International Medical Assistance operates 24-hours a day and is staffed by our qualified professionals who can respond rapidly to any type of international emergency or call for assistance. Due to continued growth within the company, we are currently seeking interest from experienced Flight Nurses for future requirements throughout 2010/2011.
We have a fleet of dedicated International SOS air ambulances that function as intensive care units in the sky. These can be immediately deployed and have adult, neonatal and pediatric emergency care capabilities. Our air ambulances are equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and are located strategically around the world.
The Flight Nurse will be based in locations where we have dedicated air ambulances equipped to respond to our members requiring medical assistance. The Flight Nurse will be responsible for delivering emergency and intensive medical care during air and ground transportation of patients.
The Person
* Full Nurse registration
* Registered Nurse with 5 years plus post graduation experience gained within Emergency Room or Intensive Care
* Flight Nurse experience on a fixed wing air ambulance
* Current ACLS, ATLS/ITLS and PALS OR European equivalent
These are permanent rotational positions and as such, will allow you to continue to live in your country of residence whilst working a fixed rotation flying in and out of the country of assignment. We coordinate the flights and travel to and from the country of assignment for each rotation and provide onsite accommodation and facilities.

Our International Medical Services works with global oil and gas corporations in assessing the health risks of their onsite employees working in some of the most remote offshore environments. Due to continued growth we are currently seeking interest from experienced Offshore Paramedics for future requirements deploying from key locations in South Africa, Middle East, Asia and West Africa.
Each offshore clinic provides a range of services from routine primary consultations through to emergency presentations. The clinics also provide a range of additional health services including:
* Fitness health checks
* Preventative medicine
* Specialized first aid training
* Health and hygiene audits
* Medical evacuations
Our permanent rotational positions allow you to continue to live in your country of residence whilst working a fixed rotation, flying in and out of your site of assignment. We coordinate the flights and travel to and from site for each rotation and provide onsite accommodation and facilities.
Our locum assignments range from 2 – 8 weeks and we coordinate the flights and travel to and from site for the duration of the assignment and provide onsite accommodation and facilities.
The person
* Registered paramedic with 4 years plus experience with primary care and emergency medicine
* Experience working within oil and gas offshore operations
* Current ACLS and BOSIET or HUET certification
* Current seamans book is advantageous
* PHTLS certification is advantageous
