JOB DESCRIPTION
> Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
> Prepare meals according to daily instructions under the supervision of a dietary manager or cook
> Deliver food dishes or trays to individuals at designated times and rooms
> Collect plates, glasses etc. and take down dining areas
> Discard leftovers and take out garbage
> Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware to ensure good hygiene
> Stock food preparation material and ingredients and monitor inventory to report inadequacies
> Assist in keeping track of expenses and menu planning
> Help maintain kitchen equipment and appliances in the best possible condition
> Perform defined work routines, using various dietary utensils, supplies and equipment as assigned by the Dietary
Manager.
> Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies.
> Attend in-service educational programs.
> Perform other department duties or special assignments as directed by the Dietary Manager
REQUIREMENTS
> Minimum of OND
> Ability to read, understand and follow recipe directions, diet orders, tray cards, and work assignments.
