Topic: FRAUD REPORT

This is my ordeal yesterday at a company called Seaway Co. (Nig) Ltd, Bamgbose Street, Off Kadiri Street.

Attendant: Good-day, how may I help you?
Me: Good-day. I came to submit an application for a job.
Attendant: May I have your CV.

I then proceeded to give him my CV. All the while I was very suspicious and apprehensive because the guy looked very unkempt and the place was a windowless 8 by 6 shop. After perusing my CV and credentials, we then proceeded as follows:

Attendant: You see, we are a beverage company with factories in Oshodi, Apapa and Ikeja. Due to the
nature of the chemicals we work with, we require that you undergo a medical test to know if you
are asthmatic.
Me: I am not asthmatic.
Attendant: We know, we just have to follow the policy of the company.
Me: Ok, I am ready for the test. By the way, where will the testing take place?
Attendant: At our factory. You have will need to pay one thousand five hundred naira for the test. The
deadline is today.
Me: Ok, I have heard you. Give me my CV.

I collected my CV and left feeling very stupid to have spent transport fare just to listen to cock and bull tale. I then proceeded to call a friend who used to stay in the neighbourhood. Immediately I mentioned Bamgbose Street, he mentioned Seaway and told me to stay clear because they (Seaway) are a bunch of hopeless criminals.

My annoyance in all this is that I saw the advert in The Guardian Newspaper (Tuesday 15th Guardian). That is by the way. Final word. House beware. I rest my case.

Men these guys have gone a step further by even acquiring office spaces..Hia! Thank God for savin u O! Everybody gat dey careful now b4 ritualists will also start using this same tactics.
