Web Designer

The Web Designer focuses on the user interface and is responsible for the layout, graphics, and general outlook of the website. He ensures that all textual content is supported with appropriate graphics, and relevant animations. He also ensures that there is dynamic interaction in the navigation of the website. The Web Designer reports directly to the Technical Manager.

Web Designer Job Description

1. Create design prototypes, including graphic design, site navigation, and layout of content, for the website.
2. Ensure that the layout of the content is accessible and logical; recommend improvements if necessary.
3. Create visual concepts that match the content and the image and ensure that sites are easy to navigate.
4. Build websites using technologies that conform to international standards and make sure that they are universally accessible, visually effective and easy to access.
5. Perform maintenance and updates to existing websites when requested by Technical Manager.
6. Designing a draft site for management approval or modification.
7. Design and distribute newsletters and other documents relating to website.
8. Testing the websites for layout consistency in different websites.
9. Creating and editing images and graphics for website use.
10. Creating templates and graphic layouts of approved website layout.
11. Integrating other web content with website design.
12. Graphic maintenance on website reflecting current needs.
13. Develop flash animations and applications.
