Our Client - a leading multi-national with presence in over 180 countries - requires the services of a Facility Manager who will be responsible for maintaining their facilities nationwide.

Location: Lagos

Core Responsibilities:
The Facilities Manager will be responsible for coordinating the physical workplace and by extension the expatriate houses and guesthouses of the company.

Other responsibilities include:

• Ensuring that all aspects of the company’s business are provided with the necessary support, e.g. maintaining a clean, conducive and comfortable environment

• Providing a safe working environment for all staff

• Ensuring that members of staff in this unit get basic training in Facilities Management

• Ensuring effective use of all guest-houses; managing the guest-houses and hotel accommodation bookings for all National and International visitors to the company

• Providing first-class support to all international assignees by ensuring that they are provided with facilities necessary for their comfort in line with company policy and standard

• Ensuring that staffs assigned to the guest-houses are adequately trained to keep up with the standards expected of them

• Providing a database that fully manages and supports the facility function as a whole

• Providing facilities and amenities support to approximately 200 company employees situated at the company’s Head Office in Lagos

• Managing staff and contract staff located at the guest houses

• Prudent and judicious management of the annual budget (over 200M Naira).

• Direct management of 2 guest-houses and 1 beach house

Person Specification

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 3-5 years experience in a similar role (FMCG environment preferred)
• Planning and Organizational skills; Excellent Communication skills
• Extensive knowledge in the use of the MS Office Suite
• Experience in managing people; High energy and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks
• Ability to manage and work with people from different backgrounds and with diverse cultural values
