Role Summary:
He/She has the responsibility for the management/optimal utilization of the event centre and business development drive to ensure profitability and that targets are met and surpassed.
MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Amongst other functions, candidate shall be responsible for:
• Planning, organizing, directing and coordinating business operations
• Planning work schedules for individuals and teams
• Managing budgets, financial plans and controlling expenditure
• Constant review and development of business strategies
• Setting and achieving sales and profit targets
• Coordinating of regular prospecting and marketing activities for generation of new business
• Dealing with problems that may arise, customer complaints and comments
• Supervision and performance evaluation of employees
• Ensuring safety of company assets
• Feedback reporting on business operations to the group office
• Ensuring compliance with laid down company policies, procedures and guidelines
• Any other duties assigned by management.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
• B.Sc. or HND from a reputable higher institution
• Membership of a professional body is an advantage

EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 3 years ‘hands on’ marketing experience in the event or entertainment industry

• Good presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Sound knowledge of account planning, and budgeting
• Computer proficiency a given

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with and lead teams
