A Nigerian based company that is into Mining, Energy and Steel with a passion for quality and customer satisfaction is currently looking to a qualified candidate to fill the position of Human Resource Officer.
Job responsibilities
- Carrying out manpower planning and developing recruitment plans and strategies for vacant positions
- Operating a merit based equal opportunity recruitment processes
- Working with line managers to develop job descriptions for all positions
- Maintain the CV Database
- Facilitating in the induction for new employees
- Collating and analyzing monthly attendance records from all office and site locations and making recommendations
- Handling all internal communications concerning staff such as, management decisions, policy changes, disciplinary measures, promotions, redeployment, bonuses etc
- Planning and scheduling leaves and payments of allowances due to staff
- Maintaining physical and electronic records for all staff
- Handling all immigration matters such as extending visa’s, sending invitations, preparing documents for visa and renewing expatriate quota grant.
- Generating specific reports, proposals and plans for management decisions
- Communicating information that affects payroll to the accounts department and checking payroll figures to ensure that changes are properly reflected
- Managing the company’s Human Resource Management System
- Preparing and issuing offer letters, confirmation letters and non disclosure agreements to all new employees
- Designing and implementing Human Capital Management Policies
Job qualifications
Education and experience required
- Minimum of First level university degree (preferably an advanced degree)
- Typically 3- 5 years related experience in human resources functional area, Human resource Generalist or HR Consulting role
Knowledge and skills required:
- Strong knowledge of all Human resource areas
- Knowledge of Nigerian Labor laws and related legislation
- Advance quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to respond independently to complex inquiries
