Qualifications: Construction Managers (Power Plant)
• The qualified candidate will have 5 to 10 years of site experience in construction management in particular that of CHP projects.
• Experienced in both technical and commercial areas of construction contracting, field construction management and management of General Contractors and site construction teams is essential.
• A BSc degree in an engineering discipline is preferred but not essential.
• Knowledgeable of gas engines and absorption chillers, preferably CO2 extraction units too.
• Proven record of construction project management displaying excellent leadership skills.
• Competence in developing, monitoring and interpreting project schedules in MS Project and Prima Vera (preferable)
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and motivational skills. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must if necessary relocate to the construction site.
• Well rounded power industry experience, in particular related to the execution of multiple CHP projects concurrently.
• Competent in the use of MS Office packages including MS Project, Prima Vera and AutoCad
Qualifications: For Operation Manager (Power Plant)
• Minimum of 10 years demonstrated relevant operating experience in large stationary industrial multi fuel stroke medium speed diesel engine power plants
• At least, 8 years relevant experience in a direct managerial role in a power plant, preferably diesel engine technology (especially Wartsila enfines)
• Evidence of the operation of power generation plants with high level of output, availability and efficiency
• Commercial acumen and experience regarding how to maximize the financial return of the project including the ability to manage contracts effectively and to manage budgets and operating costs
• A degree in engineering or equivalent
• Fluency in English language
Qualifications: For Support Engineers (Power Plant)
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related science and 10 years of relevant industry power development experience. It is strongly preferred that at least 5-10 of those years involve working on projects in an international environment.
• Candidate must have a broad knowledge of technologies, including experience with at least some of the following: diesel engine, gas engine, gas turbines in simple or combined cycle mode, hot water or steam powered absorption chillers, CO2 units. Additional knowledge of electrical generation and transmission systems would be advantageous.
• Demonstrative a knowledge of CAPEX and OPEX requirements, such as preparing CAPEX budgets, working with OEM and EPC Contractors, reviewing EPC and O&M proposals, modeling of availability and maintenance costing,
• As this role will work closely with engineers, clients, customers and regulatory bodies, the candidate should have excellent interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Candidates must be entrepreneurial and think “outside the box”.
• Proficiency in CAD systems, MS project, document control systems and MS Office is necessary.
• Must be able to travel on a regular basis and may be required to spend significant time on site if necessary.
• Able to prepare Technical Power Point Presentations
