POSITION: HEALTH SAFETY ENVIRONMENT & QUALITY OFFICER (ABUJA, PORT HARCOURT)
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Head, Health Safety Environment and Quality
Principal Function:
• To focus on all HSEQ initiatives and distillation of Station HSEQ objectives to achieve superior HSEQ performance.
• Inspects industrial facilities to evaluate operational efficiency and ensure compliance with National and international HSEQ aviation regulations and standards.
• Inspects industrial facilities to evaluate operational effectiveness and ensure compliance with environmental regulations
• Conduct environmental issues and compliance training sessions for company station employees.
• Monitor compliance with HSEQ policies and procedures and prepare reports.
• Liaises with regulatory agencies and safety associations/airlines on station HSEQ issues.
• Supervises safety matter at the stations and access staff compliance at all times.
• Accident prevention and investigating/reporting duties.
• Weekly updates and reporting of station HSEQ performances.
• Maintenance of environmental hygiene and good housekeeping in all work areas.
• Accountability in conjunction with station manager for delivering company’s HSEQ targets and objectives.
Job Requirements
Education
A first degree in Engineering/Science (B.Sc/HND) or any other relevant disciplines, professional HSE certification will be an added advantage.
Experience
3 years post graduation experience in HSE policies and practices, regulatory requirements and standards implementation.
