Land Speculation is the term used to describe this type of business.
The investor are on the look out to buy land (usually in large quantity) which is sometimes at a ridiculous price because the owner perceive that the land is useless and of low value. This piece of land would be offered for sale when the price appreciates. Land speculator (an investor) may buy a piece of land for N500,000 only to sell in for N3,500,000 in the next 5-7 years.
