    The competition was instituted 8-years ago, in honour of Bishop Mike Okonkwo, the Presiding Bishop/Founder of The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM). It is open to all Senior Secondary School Students in Nigeria.

    Categories of Prizes:
    The winning school will get three internet ready Desktop Computers, A Printer, and A Trophy, while the best student will go home with A Laptop, N 100,000 cash and A Plaque.

    The 1st runner-up school will receive two internet ready Desktop Computers and A Printer while the student get N 75,000 cash prize with A Plaque.

    World Bank Essay Competition is an annual event which engages the minds of young people in a creative way through the International Essay Competition. Open to all young people, students and non-students alike, from all countries of the world, the essay contest showcases some of the most creative solutions to global issues across the globe.

    Categories of Prizes:
    1. Essay
    Eight finalists will participate in the Final Jury in Paris, France in May 2011, and attend the Annual Bank Conference on Development Economics (ABCDE).

    INTERCONTINENTAL ESSAY COMPETITION

    Intercontinental Bank has launched a National Essay Competition for Nigerian university undergraduates to commemorate the nation’s 50th Independence Anniversary in October 2010. According to the bank the essay competition, tagged “50 Stars @ 50”, was initiated to not only expand the scope of the bank’s commitment to educational development but also its way of demonstrating its support of human capital development in the country.

    As we mark the Nation's 50th Independence Anniversary, Intercontinental Bank is calling on Nigerian youths to give their voice to leadership through a National Essay Competition.


    EUROPEAN COMMISSION ESSAY COMPETITION

    European Commission Essay Competition was meant to create more awareness in the youth about issues relating to EU-Nigeria cooperation. The Secondary Schools’ Essay Competition was funded by the European Commission’s Directorate General for Development (DG DEV.). More than 1,000 secondary school children from schools across the country participated in the past competition.

The runners-up in each category received a grant of N10,000 each for books.

    The Prize-giving events were organized in three zones: in Abuja for schools in the North, Lagos for schools in the West and Owerri for schools in the East.


    INTERNATIONAL STUDENT ESSAY CONTEST


    Present and future full-time undergraduate students who are interested in how to strike the proper balance between economics and ethics, markets and morality are encouraged to participate in the Culture of Enterprise international student essay contest. The Culture of Enterprise Project annually sponsors an international student essay contest on the topic "Can Character and Communities Survive in an Age of Globalization?" The contest is designed to encourage students to reflect on the relationship between free enterprise and the institutions and mores that define a particular culture.
