Just to prove my case that even the most brilliant can fail, take a look at your post once more, you get to discover that you Wrote the word Crowd thrice in which case all spellings were consistently wrong! Two of your crowd spelled CROUD were written in upper case, this ruled out the excuse of typographical error.
For your info yours sincerely has always been a little above average, took NNPC test in Kano in 2006, Shade widely almost 80% of the questions yet scored a staggering 130 marks out 160! No Nigerian student sit for any aptitute test in 1970, or know how to operate a computer then, not to talk of driving the modern day automobile, operating complex electronics gadgets, follows the trends of the day and so on.
This day employer of labour expect even an Histotian graduate to be computer expert! He also expect a Mathmatician to know the date of birth of the 5th american President, and if He fails the whole WORLD gets to know that a Nigerian Graduates are fluke.
A Nigerian can become father of internet, can smuggle explosives without been detected by airport body scanner,design gear box for Mercedise Benz, design world class car for Audi, break a record of the longest Teenage lone first name it.

(ii)108/3=36 persons
if 9 persons finished one work in 12 days

9=12
4=x
cross multiply
9x = 4*12
9x = 48
divide both sides by 9 since focus is on x
9x/9 = 48/9
x =16/3
x=5.33
4 persons will do the same job in 5days 3hours
(1) x persons finished the same job 3days
solution
let x present person
9=12
x=3
cross multiply
12x =9*3
12x = 27
divide both sides by 12
12x/12 = 27/12
x=9/4
x=2.25
x=2 persons approximately

U need to apply d inverse variation principle not direct variation.
U can even solve the problem offhand without writing anything down on a paper owing to the limited time u hav to deal with it if u hav your punch. Whenever u see such problems like number of people to finish something, weda na work o!, drug o! Just name it. Just know that the more the number of people, the less the work, drug or anything these people hav to attack.
In that case,
people = constant/work
=> people*work = constant
just establish the constant and fix it on any part of the question your life go just de sweet u.
Pls no do this same thing when the rate of work is varying among the people involved. If they are not working at the same rate, just sum up the work each of them will do in a unit time (time could be in sec, min, hr, day, etc).
E.g if mr. P can finish a particular work in 9days, it means he can do only 1/9 of the work in a day. If mr. Q can finish THE SAME work in 3days, it means he can do 1/3 of the work in a day. So if both of them are working together, it means in a day both can do 1/9 + 1/3 of the work. Which is 4/9. The reciprocal of 4/9 gives the number of days both of them will work to finish that job i.e 9/4.
Some question can be tricky, if the work is increased by 150% how much of it would they have done in 3days?
I leave that for u to solve.
