Reports To: Chief Marketing Officer

Key Responsibilities: To increase and maintain VEDA Technology’s brand Equity, helping to meet VEDA’s strategic brand objectives and increase visibility, awareness and understanding of VEDA’s corporate brand.

Job Description

* Assist the CMO to deliver VEDA’s communications strategy
* Work closely with advertising partners to communicate to the public
* Work closely with public relations agencies and media outlets
* Assist the CMO to manage company public relations strategy
* Explore new ways to communicate with external and internal customers including internet branding, advertising and public relations
* Assist the CMO to generate names for new and existing products and services
* Liaise with art designers, copywriters, media buyers and printers
* Initiate, develop and implement packaging and communication designs
* Manage product advertising and marketing image
* Supervise the sign-off of marketing literature and campaigns by liaising with legal and compliance personnel to ensure the designs and messages meet the company brand and regulatory guidelines
* Assist the CMO to monitor consumer reactions through focus groups and market research
* Assist the CMO to research consumer markets for computers and accessories and monitor market trends
* Assist the CMO to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of communications activities, and amend communications strategy as necessary
* Co-ordinate company branding and product marketing exhibitions

Required Skills/Competencies

* Must have 3+ years experience facilitating corporate branding initiatives.
* Demonstrate some basic success in creating and maintaining brand communications and architectures.
* Conceptual abilities in both the creative and logical presentation of ideas and messages.
* Good writing and editing skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with product, creative and marketing teams.
* Good understanding of the theory and practice of marketing communications.
* Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Education:

* Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, English, Communications or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
* Minimum 3 years experience in brand communications
* Minimum 5 years work experience
* Age Range: 28-35
