Responsibilities
o Equipment check, control, maintenance, fault finding and trouble shooting
o Handle shift operations ensuring minimum breakdowns
o Monitor plant and equipment to ensure optimal operation and reduction of planned and unplanned downtime
o Provide regular process control checks, identify shortcomings and forthcoming obsolescence
o Initiate and support performance improvement action
o Review and recommend updates to Engineering policies and procedures
o Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards
Requirements
Education/Qualification:
o B. Eng/B.Tech/HND in Electrical, Mechanical, Automobile Engineering or other relevant fields
Experience:
o The candidate should have 6 – 10 years experience in a similar role in Process Industries
Skills and competencies:
o Excellent understanding of power plant operations
o Hands – on workmanship for B check and C check maintenance
o Practical experience handling engine crank, oil circulation system, engine alignment, tapper system, turbo system, bearing and filter replacements, etc
o Knowledge of gas engines, crank, lube oil circulation system, cooling water pumping system
o Understanding of Engine mechanical alarm trip, Annuation panel DIO, AIO.
o Knowledge of breakdown/preventive maintenance practices for smooth shift operations
o Proficiency in Microsoft skills for preparing daily reports
o Ability to understand electrical and mechanical drawings/manuals
o Good inter-departmental communications for streamlined shift operations
