A client in the oil and gas sector needs
the service of Process engineers. the
desirable candidate should have
experience in the oil and gas or related
sector. REQUIREMENTS: The Process Engineers shall be
responsible for the following: - 1. Process configuration, optimization
and feasibility studies
- 2. Preparation of design basis and
philosophy documents (safeguarding,
shutdown, relief & blow down,
isolation & maintenance) - 3. Process modelling and simulation of
refinery/petrochemical operations
- 4. Preparation of PFDs and heat and
mass balances
- 5. Sizing and specification of major
process equipment - 6. Safety, environmental and
operability reviews (HAZOP, ENVID, SIL)
- 7. P&ID development, including
selection of design conditions,
hydraulic
analysis, line sizing and pipe specifications, equipment isolation, vent
and drain systems, cause and effects.
- 8. Knowledge if relief system design,
including PSV sizing, flare
hydraulics and radiation analysis is an
added advantage. NOTE: ITEMS 1,3,4,5, & 7 in the above
ARE MANDATORY. The successful Process Engineers
should possess the following skills: -1. BSc/MSc in Chemical Engineering
-2. Minimum 2 – 5 years’ experience in
Oil & Gas Processing, Refining
and/or Petrochemicals
-3. Process simulation Hysys/Aspen.
PRO/II, PROMAX,Flarenet, Flaresim Intermediate (minimum) are added
advantages.
- 4. Mathematical modelling tools:
Matlab, GAMS
- 5. Refinery configurations and
operations (CDU, VDU, FCC, Coker, Isomers…etc).
- 6. Engineering Work Processes Inter
discipline coordination, change
management
- 7. Industry Codes and Standards
Knowledge of API 520, 521, 526, 527, 2000
- 8. Leadership: Manages small team of
process engineers
- 9. Project reporting Progress and
schedule reporting
