This is questions in which a statement is made and you are required to compare it with another. They are normal arithmetic questions in which you need your IQ and ability to think fast to be able to answer that questions within the given period of time. There are 22 form in which the numerical reasoning questions takes. Example are given below 1. 5 = 10% of……….. a. 0.5 b. 5 c. 50 d. 500 e. none 2. What number should replace z in this correct addition examples? 2 4 z 4 + 2 z z 7 5 4 z 1 a. 0 b. 6 c. 8 d. 9 none The answer to the first question is c 5 = 10/100 of say x Then x = (5 x 100)/10 = 50 The answer to the second question is d You know that when you add 4+7=11, you put down 1 and carry 1 to the other side The other is unknown. Two unknown add together plus 1 which you carry also give you unknown Hence from the answers find two number which you will add together and when you add 1 to it gives you that number. There are 15 keys areas in mechanical reasoning you are atleast expected to know in order to excel in your forth coming ExxonMobil examination. Example of mechanical reasoning questions to expect are given below. 1. Hence since the first gear is almost three times bigger than the first, if the first turn once the smaller will turn 3 times faster.
