Job Title: Distribution Officer
JOB SUMMARY
Essentially plans and coordinates the timely and efficient delivery of products to OML customer, based on a daily product schedule and distribution plan.
SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Local & Bridging Schedule Management
· Support the Distribution Supervisor East to ensure the availability and effective delivery of products at the right place, the right time and at the right quality for OML’s Customers
· Receive bridging requests from Bridging Scheduler for implementation in the East
· Review stock positions in Terminals and NNPC allocations at the following depots– PH refinery, Aba, Calabar, and Enugu
· Implement and manage the day to day scheduling of Local and Bridging product request to the various stock points and monitor for prompt dispatch by the invoicing and dispatch officers at the Terminals
· Monitor 3rd party loading activities and incorporate into schedule
· Interface with the Fleet, dispatch and the sales team to address issues that will affect timely delivery of product to customer location
· Participate in the planning and execution of terminal operations as it affects product loading and on-time dispatches to customer and bridging locations
· Manages the performance of the daily/weekly product supply to customers and bridging
Locations – provide regular update to Sales team on product delivery status in the East
· Handle complaints from the sales team and take corrective action
· Continuously developing and implementing strategies that will enhance on-time product delivery to Oando’s customers on all product lines, with a view to enhance product distribution
· Develop and maintain excellent working relations with all stakeholders (NATO & PTD) for a successful operation towards OML’s set objectives
· Ensure contractual stuck holding at the VMI locations
Logistics Support
· Contribute to a range of planning processes necessary to ensure product availability at the various stock points
· Ensure full compliance with diversion procedures and policy requirements for effective documentation and truck turnaround.
· Support the implementation of initiatives and projects in OML Operations
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
· 100% achievement of 24 hour delivery for all OML products
· Availability of schedule a day before loading activity
· Zero supply vs. request gap
· Accuracy and timeliness of related analysis and reports
· Effectiveness of relationship with Sales, Fleet and dispatch team
· Effectiveness of relationship with external stakeholders
· % of orders that result in Customer’s complaints/returns
· Performance on internal audit examinations; number and complexity of queries raised
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
· 1st Degree in Business Admin or related discipline
· Minimum of 2 - 4 years work experience, preferably in Supply Chain Management
· Prior Customer Service experience is an advantage.
