Purpose of Assignment

· The candidate will provide technical support in planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of community based management of malnutrition and community infant and young child feeding

Major Task to Be Accomplished

· Support counter and partner documentation of data information from all CMAM implementing facilities as well as facilitate replication of resources.

· Provide support in ensuring effective coordination, networking and information sharing with the government, international NGOs at state and community level.

· Provide support to strengthen the existing nutrition program, mainly improving quality and scaling up the management of CMAM program coverage and ensure effective operation of systems.

· Further develop local capacity for supportive supervision, monitoring and evaluation of progress for improved management of malnutrition program and ensure monitoring and supportive supervision and collaboration SNOs is conducted.
· Assist in data collection during the rapid nutrition survey with support from UNICEF field
· The candidate will support in preparing and submitting report including CMAM data as well as update regular statistical narrative updates/report in line with given time frame.
Qualification
· University degree in public health or Biochemistry or related field
· Exposure to implement, monitor and supervise SAM (Severe Acute Nutrition)
· Proficiency in oral and written English language, good communication and networking skills
· Willingness to work in the field with partners for majority of contract
· In-depth understanding of malnutrition and household food security from nutrition/public health point of view
