    HOUSE BEWARE: Coastal Drilling Company (CDC LIMITED)

    HOUSE,

    Last week, an advert came out in the Guardian Newspaper on Tuesday based on an oil and gas vacancy. We were asked to post our CV to [email protected]. Believe me, this is entirely a scam. I got an e-mail from them on Saturday and this was what I got.

    Dear ****,

    Coastal Drilling Land Company, is a international drilling company serving the South Texas drilling market, providing both day work and turnkey contracts, due to expansion plans, we will commence operation in Port Harcourt .

    We received your application in which you have been short-listed to participate in the forth-coming practical test/induction training. To avail you with Safety Training Materials, you are advised to pay an Administrative/ Procurement Fee of N3,500.00(Three Thousand Five Hundred Naira) to the Administrative Department as stated below:

    ACCOUNT NAME: DESMOND RICHARD
    ACCOUNT NUMBER: 0057110000361416
    BANK: INTERCONTINENTAL BANK PLC.

    Send your payment slip to [email protected] . Your Reference Number: CDC/BA/2637-117, date and venue for the practical test/induction training shall be published on notice.

    On that date published for your practical test, please come with Statement of Result, NYSC Discharge Certificate, Two Recent Passport Photographs, Printed Copy of this Invitation and Original Copy of Payment Slip/Teller which will be used for accreditation.

    Its clearly fraud, i applied for it also but i haven't gotten any reply 4rm them, no company will ask her potential staffs to pay for any thing b4fore been staffed.

    Do not pay guys,they are just another esther breakthroug.

    Any Organisation that is requesting for any payment whtsoever from a potential employee isnt serious. They should count their cost b4 embarkin on recruitment process. I wouldnt blame som of diz so cald coys and scammers, if our so called Senate could fold their arms while federal parastatals lik Nigerian Airforce & others now request for payment from potential trainees.

    Nevertheless,My candid advice to all is that, keep applying, but never commit yourself by paying any fee for employment. It only shows dt, even if u end up securin d job, d job security isnt thr cos dey wont b able 2 pay u as time goes on

    BELEIVE WE NEED TO INFORM THE POLICE SO THAT THEY WILL TRSCE THIS DESMOND RICHARD GUY AND ARREST HIM.
    HE SHOULD HAVE AN ACCOUNT PACKAGE AT INTERCONTINENTAL BANK,STATING HIS ADDRESS AND OTHER CONTACTS WHEN HE OPENED THE ACCOUNT.
    HOW I WISHED I WAS A LAWYER,I WILL DEFINATELY TAKE THIS ACTION UP!

    BUNCH OF IDIOTS ,God will catch them
