Job Title: Field Support Engineer – System/Network
Reports To Director
Responsible for Engineer responsible for the technical support of both data and voice network, ensuring effective delivery of the service and contribute to ongoing development of voice and data services within businesses, making sure best value is maintained.

The engineer will be jointly responsible for looking after all ICT projects & purchase ICT hardware & software. Provide a responsive 1st-3rd line technical support service to end users network infrastructure. You will be part of a very forward-thinking company who has a lot to offer anyone who joins. The company will be looking to offer you training, which will help to increase your technical skill set as you progress through the role.

The ideal engineer will possess a proven track record working with Windows 2000, Windows 2003 Server, Active Directory, Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, and Cisco Routers & Switches. Certifications such as MCP, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP will be of an advantage.

Engineer will be working on escalations as well as multiple new project roll outs such as implementing

Engineer is required to be up to date on IT technology, so all engineers would be required to attend regular training course. Keen interest in taking further technical course organized by the company should be a MUST.

Key Tasks The scope and focus of activities of the Support/Network Engineer will be clarified through regular goal setting meetings with the Director and other Management team.

The following specific responsibilities must be carried out:

- To provide Consultancy on a range of Network Infrastructure and technical issues to customers.
- To attempt resolution or escalate to specialist team.
- To work to standard operating procedures and instructions and to agreed targets and objectives.
- To support colleagues in the execution of their day to day duties.

- Manage medium to projects from conception through to delivery, being accountable for your element of work.
- Responsible for the day-to-day Network Infrastructure Support.
- Understanding of network technologies and protocols TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, routing & switching, ISDN and Firewalls.
- Design, develop and install the network infrastructure for high profile client.
- Work as part of a design/delivery team on projects with solution architects and design teams to implement the network element of new solutions.
- Network Presales Consultant and Network Design Consultant.
- Evaluate clients Network Infrastructure and prepare summary or detailed report as requested.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, keen willingness to learn new technologies and advance upon their qualifications, quick thinking and can handle pressure as well as come in and hit the ground running.

In-depth knowledge of Network and Telecommunication systems with a proven track record in configuration and support of network architecture. So a good Cisco knowledge (ideally, you certified to Microsoft, Cisco, Juniper and Extreme), along with good LAN, switching, MPLS and firewall knowledge would be advantageous.

- 3 to 5 year’s progressively responsible experience in IT Network support.
