Position – General Facilities Engineers

Candidate The candidate should be a chemical, mechanical or electrical engineer with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and a minimum of five years’ experience in providing technical support and guidance to field operations for the safe and efficient operation of oil and gas production facilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Apply appropriate engineering principles, best practice and know-how in the provision of engineering services and professional advice.

2. Provide effective facilities engineering support to field operations by means of identifying technical problems, evaluating options and develop solutions to improve facilities performance.

3. Assist field operations in troubleshooting and developing and selecting best suitable approaches to address the issue.

4. Assess process safety and business related risks and develop appropriate checks, controls and precautions to reduce risks to an acceptable level.

5. Participate in risk assessments like HAZOP Studies and Process Hazard Analyses.

6. Execute root cause failure analyses to continuously improve facilities performance.

7. Develop and implement pro-active process engineering surveillance activities in order to identify opportunities that help enhance integrity and reliability of existing facilities.

8. Provide an engineering interface with field operations, service providers, regulators, project personnel and other stakeholders in the development and execution of engineering activities.

9. Collaborate with other cross-functional disciplines to develop comprehensive engineering solutions.

10. Develop and maintain prioritized worklists of activities supporting field operations.

11. Demonstrate ability to work independently on a wide range of facilities engineering issues, including ability to research relevant technology and previous experience of others and apply these to problem solving.

12. Demonstrate willingness to continuously develop own professional skills.
