@toluluck,abeg describe this type of spatial question for those of us who didn't partake in Shell.
Hard work is the key.....
In d sitp test, spatial orientation (STS 5) seems to b d easiest of all bt a bit technical. Can sm1 tell us where to get sample questions on ds since there are nt in gmat unlike d others? Dis house is really great! Tnx 4 d trend
@ dy/dx and toluluck and other guys, kindly post the spatial orientation, technical test and any other type you have on this chevron test, to enable boys prepare on time. Better still u can send to my e-mail: [email protected].
Thank you.
Hello mate, I happened to be among those that took part in the Shell's SITP recruitment this year. Well the Spatial Reasoning was very technical, in fact I had never seen any thing like that before I took the test. The option's were unsual, answers to questions were numbers and alphabets- e.g 1D, 3A, 4B, etc. The diagrams in this case are quite similar to the normal Spatial reasoning you are familiar with, but in the case, parts of the drawings are either removed, enlarged, reduced, position changed, etc. The diagram is then rotated, turned upside-down, mirrored, etc.Originally Posted by taryoudaramsy
Now, these changes to the diagram are usually presented as questions. You are then required to answer this questions wrt the original diagram. That is were the type of options come in. Horizontally across the diagram are numbers 1-4, each for a box; while vertically along the diagram are alphabets A-D.
For a particular question, a change only occurs in a position- which must have either been mirrored or rotated, to confuse you a little bit. You then have to spot the change, trace its location horizontally and vertically to find a point of intersection which is actually the answer.
This is actually expected to be down in less then a minute. You've got to be very smart and fast. They usually give you some time to familiarise yourself with their examples though.
I'm afraid I don't have any sample to share. I hope this explanation will help a little bit. All the best mates.
