BUSSINESS DEVELOPMENT OFFICER
MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
• Advertising and promoting the organization and its Services.
• Attending client meetings with a view to getting new business.
• Dealing with potential and existing clients.
• Manage and maintain client database.
• Ability to work on own initiative to create business leads.
• Evaluate marketing campaigns.
• Attend trade shows and promotions.
• Create weekly activity reports.
• Making cold calls and following up with leads as required.
• Carrying out market research and customer surveys to assess demand, brand positioning and awareness
• Monitoring competitors’ activities
• Supporting the marketing manager and other colleagues
• Any other duty as may be requested by management
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS & PROFESSIONAL COMPETENCIES:
• B. Sc. or HND from a reputable higher institution
• Membership of a professional body is an advantage
EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum 5 years ‘hands on’ marketing experience
• Proficiency in computer and IT software is an added advantage
KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
• Detail oriented
• Good presentation skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask efficiently
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
