Job Title: Treasury Manager

Responsibilities



  • Reports to the Chief Financial Officer
  • Ensure operational efficiency of short term assets and liabilities management of the organization. Ensures accuracy and completeness of its books, financial processes, procedures and cash management in line with established accounting processes, regulations governing the business and internal control policies such that critical treasury information is at all times accurate, comprehensive, relevant, timely and useful for decision making.
  • Drives treasury tactic development, deployment and execution and is responsible for ensuring the integration of both operational and financial measures aimed at liquidity, growth and profitability of the business in the Treasury unit. Responsibility for funding/liquidity of the businesses.




Strategic



  • Lead in the execution of comprehensive treasury strategy and tactic for the organization through: identifying financial risk issues in relation to corporate strategy; delivering a workable tactic plan within known constraints; effective communication of financial and risk issues to Head Finance and providing robust financial briefs to identified potential risks.
  • Evaluates the present and future capital requirements of the company both for short term and medium term; secures funding for operation and major projects and determining the adequacy of current funding and funding requirement
  • Contributes to key initiatives in finance that support overall strategic goals through; Ensuring proper deployment of such initiatives, drive through changes in treasury; setting and communicating the vision and strategy for finance to all treasury staff.




Operational



  • Drives the execution and translation of corporate goals into executable tactic from a treasury perspective.
  • Manage relationship with major stakeholders ensure quick and swift resolution of all issues with our Bankers, Vendors, and Transporters. Clearly ensuring that contractual terms of engagement and credit terms are complied with.
  • Monitoring achievement of funding plans and target and taking corrective actions where required.
  • Ensures the maintenance of an effective financial management framework that supports organization’s marketing’s mission and business objectives and enable the effortless production of relevant periodic reports.
  • Responding positively to issues raised by industry regulators and statutory bodies from a payment perspective such as NNPC, tax authorities etc.
  • Approves in the account payable module all finance & accounting transactions and ensures processes/procedures are effective and comply with regulatory and statutory requirements.
  • Ensures adequacy of working capital robust enough to support the immediate needs of the business.
  • Ensures quality of Trade Receivables through constant engagement and communication with all affected stakeholders.
  • Manage the settlement of all vendors and suppliers to the company
  • Ensure the provision of timely, comprehensive and accurate Financial and Management Accounts that support decision making process.
  • Builds strong and value-adding relationships with financing partners and other key stakeholders (local banks, NNPC and external Auditors and ISO examiners)
  • Safe guard company liquid assets through adherence to laid down controls and reporting standard and communication of known deviation to Head Finance
  • Engaging business drivers and other key internal customers around service delivery transformation that are vital to the overall success of the company.




Requirements



  • First degree in Finance, Investment Management, Business Administrations, Economics or Accounting
  • Professional Accreditation (ACA), CFA, ACCA
  • An MBA is an advantage
  • Adequacy and effectiveness of accounting processes & systems in enabling business operations.
  • Managing resolution of key accounting and control issues.
  • Management of working capital and implementation of financial risk management strategy.
