Job Title: Lead Seismic Quality Assurance/Quality Control
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description:


  • To provide coordination and management of the different activities carried out in a surface 3D Seismic
  • To participate in periodic safety meetings with Seismic CONTRACTOR’s personnel and notify immediately the Project Manager of any incident in the field (HSE, operational, others)
  • To advise CONTRACTOR and CLIENT of any infractions of safety standards and assist (if required) in investigation of any incident, accident or near-miss
  • To ensure that CONTRACTOR has in place all the permits required to carry out the work.
  • To periodically check instrument tests (daily and monthly), to ensure that the recording system is functioning to the manufacturer’s specifications. Monitor geophone and cable tests to ensure that they meet contractual standards and that a rotational schedule of maintenance is being observed. Keep records of all QC data
  • To ensure that all field data acquisition parameters are strictly adhered to and check observer’s reports for accuracy and legibility
  • To ensure all working practices are carried out in full compliance with the CLIENT HSE policies and procedures, HSE Standards and other appropriate CLIENT HSE documents.

Requirements

  • HND / Degree qualification in relevant discipline
  • Cognate experience
