Title: HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICER
Status: Full time
Location: Enugu – Nigeria Country Office
Reports to: HR Manager

PURPOSE
The Human Resources Officer will manage the day to day human Resources activities for the field office. This employee represents Women for Women International and partners with Country Office Senior Management and the Global HR Manager to establish a supportive work environment while achieving overall business objectives and goals for the Country Office.

DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensure proper recruitment procedures are followed in accordance to best practices
• Compliance and Record Keeping of all processes and procedures in accordance to the
• Nigerian labor laws and regulations
• Compensation and Benefits administration for the personnel’s
• Payroll administration
• Employee training and development and performance maintenance
• Employee Relations
• Employee Communications:
• Other Duties as assigned

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related discipline
• Minimum of 3-years experience in the field of human resources or equivalent combination of education and Experience
• Proficient in MS Office suite package including Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to develop Excel spreadsheets, work within created spreadsheets, and utilize formulas in MS Excel.
• Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Must be familiar with country specific laws and regulations governing human Resources, as well as applicable geographical differences.
• Ability to deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
• Ability to work with managers to assess complex issues pragmatically.
• Draws on prior experience to analyze situations and make key decisions.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Very strong written and verbal English and local language skills.
• Strong understanding of confidentiality as is relates to Human Resources.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to Interact and lead employees at various levels.
• Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets written documents including legal documents.
• Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints.
• Strong business writing skills.
• Ability to summarize complex data and information.
• Ability to effectively present information.
