HEAD OF STORE

We are seeking an organized, diligent, and responsible individual to join our growing team. Your primary objective will be to maintain adequate levels of stock to meet daily distribution demands within the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines
  • Perform critical inventory tasks to ensure the correct amount of items are in stock
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts
  • Review documentation and monitor product codes to search for discrepancies; troubleshoot quantity discrepancies between stock and records
  • Develop and implement improvements to existing operational procedures in order to maximize efficiency and cut operations costs
  • Respond to Aftersales inquiries, collect and analyze data to determine appropriate order quantities; process orders for shipment
  • Review operations schedules and production requirements to ensure timely order fulfillment
  • Track rates of accuracy, purchase and return as well as defective items to inform quality control decisions
  • Prepare, generate, and file financial inventory reports; review reports monthly with management
  • Forecast supply and demand to prevent overstocking and running out-of-stock (OOS)
  • Oversee storage of products, particularly of fragile items
  • Coordinate regular inventory audits
  • Liaise with warehouse staff and other internal teams to test products’ quality (status upon delivery and storage conditions)


REQUIREMENTS


  • BSc/ HND Accounting, Store Management, Purchasing Management, Business Management or its equivalent
  • At least five years of proven experience in Store Management
  • Knowledge of proper bookkeeping and inventory management
  • Familiarity with standard concepts and best practices in a stockroom or warehouse environment
  • Analytical mind with ability to make accurate mathematical computations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Competencies in data entry, analysis, and management
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
  • Intermediate competency in the use of Excel and other packages, andknowledge of ERP
