General Manager, Consulting Services
1.0 Main Purpose of Job
The General Manager, Consulting Services at ValueFronteira provides consulting direction that is consistent with the focus of ValueFronteira Limited; generates consultancy business for ValueFronteira Limited; and leads other analysts and solution providers in the design and implementation of robust and appropriate but sustainable strategic solutions to aid consulting client decisions. He also oversees key aspects of the company’s day to day activities.
2.0 Main Responsibilities
The duties of and the expectations from the GM, Consulting Services are as follows:
a. Identify consultancy opportunities that are consistent with the vision and focus of ValueFronteira Limited;
b. Follow–up on identified opportunities with proposals, visits, meetings, presentations, lobbies and any other method that will ensure that the identified opportunities are secured;
c. Lead the process of designing and implementing robust and appropriate solutions that effectively resolve client challenges within the context of the unique problem–solving methodologies of ValueFronteira Limited;
d. Drive the process of resuscitating the following online reports hitherto published by ValueFronteira Limited;
• The Fronteira Post Weekly;
• The Fronteira Monthly Economic Development Report;
• The Fronteira Market Research Report;
e. Maintain all required project and client data to ensure that full information is available for project planning, contact management and business development;
f. Maintain an awareness of developments in relevant fields of expertise to ensure that advice given is accurate and up to date;
g. Ensure the developmentation and implementation of all required administrative and financial systems and data to ensure that accurate financial and statutory records are maintained;
h. Organize regular seminars/conferences;
i. Oversee and ensure the profitable development of ValueFronteira Business Analytics and Econometrics Training;
j. Represent the organization at external meetings and conferences and ensure that the positive image of the organization is regularly promoted;
k. Ensure sustained stridency in the ValueFronteira economic leadership advocacy, wider firm collaborative network and internal capacity building using the vehicle of ValueFronteira Professional Discourse sessions;
l. Ensure that the company remains profitable and in good cash flow situation at all times;
m. Report to the “Practice Mentor” (non-executive adviser to ValueFronteira Limited) on progress made on a daily basis.
3.0 Knowledge & Experience Required
The person who shall occupy this position will have the following knowledge base and profile:
a. Ph.D or Strong Masters Degree in any of the following disciplines: Economics, Management, Psychology, Statistics or Computer Science;
b. 5 years consulting experience or 5 years experience working in a research consulting firm or 5 years’ experience cumulatively obtained in business development function;
c. Must be between 30 and 45 years of age;
d. Women are very strongly encouraged to apply;
e. Candidates must possess expert knowledge in the use of any of the following statistical software: SAS, Statistica, SPSS, Eviews, R, Stata

5.0 Remuneration
Modestly attractive and consistent with value expectations. Share option is also available.
