please i want to know the current federal govt minimum wage. some1 told me is 52k dont know if that is true. Also learnt that the president instructed all niger delta states to pay the fed gov scale could dis be true also. Why am asking this questions is dat i will need it to take some important decisions as per my job. am current working somewhere but if the fed min wage is 52 , i wouldn't mind swapping cos of job security. please if anyone in the house has info plaese assist .tanx
@poster- 52k was wat the labour union proposed as the minimum wage for the federal government, but that was unrealistic in the nigeria of today... Anyway wat i did confirm was that the federal govt pegged it at 18k... So i think that's wat is law now.... Any other person here to support or object....
The minimum wage that was recently approved by federal govt is 17,000. A civil servant at level one step one will not earn less than this amount.
guys, tanx for that info .god bless. must confess this rate is not funny. at this rate now can a fresh graduate get up to 50k?
The lowest a civil servant can get at level one is N17,000 while the highest a civil servant at level 17 is about N483,000. A fresh graduate can start at level 8, so I think a fresh graduate should be earning more than N60,000.
